Terms & Conditions

OUR POWER MEDIA

Welcome to Our Power — a community-driven ecosystem built to empower BIPOC folks and allies through stories, culture, wellness, creativity, and collective knowledge.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to:
 

  1. Our Power Social — our digital community platform & mobile/web app

  2. Our Power Magazine + Our Power Lounge — our editorial, interview, and multimedia content arms

  3. Our Power Media Services — PR, communications strategy, production consulting, and coaching services
     

By accessing or using any part of the Our Power ecosystem, you agree to these Terms.
 

SECTION 1 — ELIGIBILITY & ACCOUNT CREATION


To create an account on Our Power Social, you must:
 

  • Be at least 16 years old

  • Create an account with accurate information

  • Agree to the Terms, Privacy Policy & Community Guidelines

  • Acknowledge that your demographic details, if provided, may be used for analytics in accordance with the Privacy Policy
     

You agree not to impersonate another person or create fake profiles.
We reserve the right to remove accounts that violate these rules.
 

SECTION 2 — DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION DISCLOSURE


At sign-up, you may be invited to voluntarily share demographic details (e.g., age, race/ethnicity, gender identity, ZIP code, etc.).

Providing this information is fully optional.

We collect it to:
 

  • Understand who we are serving

  • Improve representation and inclusivity

  • Optimize content recommendations

  • Strengthen our community impact reporting


Demographic data is never sold, and is analyzed only in aggregate unless otherwise disclosed.
 

SECTION 3 — USER CONTENT (Across All Platforms)


You retain ownership of the content you post or submit.

By posting, uploading, or submitting content across Our Power Social, Our Power Magazine, or Our Power Lounge, you grant Our Power Media and Our Power Media LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display your content or editorial, educational, promotional, or community purposes. This includes posts, comments, profile media, interviews, testimonials, creative submissions, or appearance releases. You may revoke media permissions by written request, except where content is already published or in active production.
 

SECTION 4 — INTERVIEWS, FEATURES & MEDIA APPEARANCES


When participating in Our Power Magazine or Our Power Lounge, you acknowledge that:
 

  • The interview or media appearance may be recorded, edited, and published

  • You consent to the use of your likeness, voice, quotes, and images

  • You grant Our Power Media and Our Power Media LLC editorial discretion to shape final content

  • You may request minor corrections or context adjustments, but final editorial decisions rest with Our Power


If a separate Release Form is signed, that document supersedes these terms.
 

SECTION 5 — OUR POWER SOCIAL FEATURES


Using the app indicates your agreement to:
 

  • Respect the Community Guidelines

  • Avoid harassment, hate speech, or harmful behavior

  • Not post illegal or copyrighted material without permission

  • Accept that moderators may remove content or suspend accounts
     

Certain actions (reports, Power Ups, messages, posts, etc.) may be logged for moderation and safety.
 

SECTION 6 — POWER MEMBER ACCESS + INVITE CODES


Power Member access may be granted by:
 

  • Purchasing a Summit ticket

  • Receiving a temporary promotional upgrade

  • Redeeming an invite code

  • Paying the Power Member subscription fee
     

Invite codes cannot be sold, traded, or misused.
We may revoke Power Member access for violations.
 

SECTION 7 — PAID SERVICES (Our Power Media)


For consulting or production services, including PR, media training, branding, or facilitation:
 

  • A separate contract or invoice outlines scope & deliverables

  • Payments are required before delivery of services

  • All intellectual property created by Our Power Media remains owned by Our Power Media unless otherwise agreed
     

Refunds are not guaranteed unless explicitly stated in the service agreement.
 

SECTION 8 — LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY


Our Power Media and Our Power Media LLC are not liable for:
 

  • User-generated content

  • Third-party link or media access

  • Service interruptions or data loss

  • Damages arising from misuse of the platform
     

Total liability is limited to the amount you have paid, if any.
 

SECTION 9 — TERMINATION


We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate:
 

  • Community Guidelines

  • Safety expectations

  • Legal or ethical standards
     

You may delete your account at any time.
 

SECTION 10 — CHANGES TO THESE TERMS


We may update these Terms periodically.
Continued use constitutes acceptance of updates.
